Re: Did Sprint cancel "Phone as Modem" services altogether?

I have been able to use both the internet sharing and walkinghotspot since the purchase back when it first came out. Last used on Aug 12th 2011. Today the 16th of August. My local ISP went down, so I jumped onto wireless to use the walkinghotspot and nothing. I then went to the internet sharing app that came with the touch pro, a major selling point when the cell first came out and it connected onto to return an error code saying that my user name etc was invalid. I have paid for unlimited for years. Nothing has been changed on my cell and I have not conducted in ROM updates since 2010 March. I called sprint and the claim that app was never on the phone and that I was cheating the company. But for $15 more a month I could have the phone as modem. Which I think is bunk. The tech argued it was due to the laptop being able to DL more data. My Lappy has a 20gig drive my cell a 32gig microSD. He had no comment after that. I know the walkinghotspot was seen as the cell doing the connection. Not sure on the original app that was on the cell to begin with. I have promoted SPRINT for years. Now they are turning out to be another Verizon and AT&T. Is anyone else aware of the most recent events or found a work around?
