As with all phones I buy, I recommend getting the extended battery. Seidio has a 4000mah battery for $75ish, its a bit pricey but id rather pay a little extra to be able to use my phone to is maximum potential than worry about it dying halfway through the day. With the extended battery I use everything to the max and only drop to about 40 at night. (7am - 10:30 / 11pm) heavy use: auto brightness, bluetooth, gps, wifi, use latitude throughout the day, lots of web use, some video chat, lots of pic taking and uploading (facebook, google +)...

So you have a 4000mAH battery and only make it from 7am to 1030???
I have the stock battery and heavy use most of the day. I have to really TRY to hit 40. Usually I'm at around 45 ish from 530am - 930pm. Not to mention I have 0-1 bars of service while at work....
I do use Juice Defender (free version) and Startup Auditor (paid version), but it still sounds like something is sucking down your battery.
The only thing that sucks down my battery is using Google Maps and GPS for navigation. I'd be lucky to have a full battery last 2 hrs on navigation. Really odd....
