I do not like the android OS (very sloppy OS) but love the apps so I can live with it.
so far its otherwise working fine. sadly can't get squareup to work (mic line??) and netflix works but won't PLAY anything (it tries)
I can not get mine to "sleep" and I am guessing its the GPS. problem is I USE the gps functionality in a lot of the apps I use. in WM I would create a cookie toggle button to the the GPS "on and off" at will. is there a widget that will let me do this?
ie tap it turn gps put phone to sleep tap it to turn it back on when I wake it up?

If you think the OS is "sloppy" because it's so slow, that's really not a good judgement of it on this device. Try it on a native phone, something with some horsepower... My buddy has an EVO3D, and even with all the bloat of Sense3.0, that thing screams. Very fluid, not "sloppy" in any way shape or form.
Anyhoo, Netflix probably won't work with the existing video codecs. The screen resolution of our phones is WAY too high for the processor/GPU specs. The GPU our phones have really is not capable of pushing that many pixels...
As for GPS, there's a widget - the power control widget. I've heard some people have issues with it. I never use GPS, I usually use netloc (cell-tower location). For most apps this is "good enough" (weather, etc). GPS being enabled (not even actively being used, icon in notification bar...) will kill sleep unfortunately. Well known bug.
