OP I don't see why you couldn't do what you want to do. I think maybe you are misinterpreting the cdma only info from the energy rom. It just means you can't flash that rom to a gsm rhodium(TP2). Keep in mind you won't get 3g data from AT&T on that device just Edge speeds but it should work after it's SIM Unlocked.
