Ok I've been trying for 2 months now to get gameboid to work (tried multiple versions)

Here is what I am doing:

Download Gameboid
Download gba_bios.bin (16kb) tried 4 different versions
Installed Gameboid

Created "gba games" folder on root of SD card.
Place legend of Zelda - minish cap.zip in this folder

Place gba_bios on root of SD card

Run Gameboid, select BIOS, then select game. After two seconds it crashes and takes me back to my phones main screen.

I have tried putting BIOS in with my GBA Roms and have tried both zipped and extracted (.gba) ROM files, however no matter what i do I get the same end result.

My phone info is;

Make - HTC
Model - EVO 4g
Firmware - Kinged-Shooterv2.00.zip
Kernal - Stock
PRL - 190_003

Can anyone please help? This is getting to be so infuriating, I am at a complete loss of what to do. So far I have successfully used:

NES
GBC
SNES
N64

Just no matter what I do I can't get the GBA emulator to run at all. please Help Me!!!!!
