boe, I wonder if you'd be interested in the battery monitor app. I'm using it and it had graphs and such showing battery use, even keeps a history if you want to look at it of when current changed etc.
You've probably done all the research and monitoring you want, but just in case you find this useful. I use it for a percentage of battery left, with BMW A White icons (circle icon) and for checking the current, temp, etc., when I want to look at it.

I don't mean to be throwing craploads of apps at you, just pointing out things that may be useful to people if they weren't aware of them. I was happy to discover these, being new to Android.
