In addition to Windows being prevalent and therefore getting the most exposure to malware/viruses/worms, it also has the default account set up during installation as an Administrator (root) account. Mac doesn't do that by default, so along with a greater percentage of users, crackers etc. get the added benefit of having a lot more access once inside the system.
