FWIW and I hope if I have just been extremely lucky this doesn't jinx me, but I have dropped mine 3 times since I bought it in September; once from the hip onto concrete and twice from counter height on to tile floors. So far no chips, cracks or scratches on the glass. My bezel got chewed up when I dropped it on the concrete, but that's it. After hearing some of these horror stories, I hope mine doesn't ever have to be replaced.
