Re: Want WP7 Mango today ?

So far I really like the Mango installation. Everything seemed to get installed without a hitch.

The Wi-Fi still doesn't let me do an Ad-Hoc connection. Oh well, I can only hope. I wish I could install the HTC app but It's not available and it's not able to be sideloaded that I know of.

I can't believe how fast going in and out of normal OS operations has become. You basically click on something and you're there - I'd like to see some fandroids or appleheads try to beat that!
Really digging the combined inboxes. Sure makes checking e-mail and responding a whole lot easier. Separate, but integrated.

I've only had one issue with my Arrive resetting on me. I was downloading a pdf attachment through e-mail and it reset. I hope it doesn't happen too often, but hey this is a beta so I've gotta be patient - I do love how things have even been able to become smoother than before.

Still hoping they beef up the calendar functionality. About the only thing I noticed was entering an appointment right into the day view on the calendar. The to-do thing is a welcomed addition and I hope they work on a lot more additional options for that. I LOVE the redesigned dialer as you just have a toggle now between the keypad & options. Only makes sense and the larger buttons to answer & end a call rocks.
Downloading podcasts directly over Wi-Fi has been a big blessing. Now I don't need to worry about going to sync with laptop or plugging the power in it to wait 10 minutes to sync with Zune. Get's right to the point!

If there's any that haven't installed the Mango beta I'd recommend just going ahead and doing it. I deleted all of my music from my phone and deauthorized it from Zune before doing the upgrade so that I didn't need to back it all up. Made things a little faster. Will get it all on later.

Thanks again all for the recommendation. WP7 rocks!
