I finally figured it out. It was caused by Handcent SMS. There is a setting that allows you to make Handcent the default messaging app, if you choose this option it will interfere with the Visual Voicemail app bc, the app uses a text service to pull voicemails. I found this out just messing around in the app after i spent 2hours on phone with Sprint cust. service. I am planning an email to Handcent on the issue.
