I got my yahoo mail to work...
When it started acting up I deleted the account from the stock mail app, logged in to my mail account in the browser (used Dolphin as desktop) , then went back and added the account to the stock mail. It's been working fine since doing that, even through a couple resets and a battery pull. I tried that because I remember one of the messengers I used had a problem logging in and recommend trying it as a solution because Yahoo locked it out.

***Edit, forgot to add that I set it up from Mail/settings/new account/other(pop/imap). I don't know how much of a difference that makes but I am hesitant to test it considering that its working now.
