I actually don't have the headphone adapter. What I do have is the original headphones. I accidently sent them through the wash. Everything was fine about them except one of the ear buds was cracked. I soldered on a female 1/8" jack I got from Radio Shack on to where the headphones were and haven't had a problem since.
Something I'd definatly sudjest if you know how to solder.
