All incomming calls to our home VoIP would be received and the mobile rings. Push a button on the mobile and I can answer the incoming call. and make outgoing acalls on the mobile via VoIP. Also when a call is made to the mobile it would be received as usual. Is this all posible.
Because of my work I need the coverage of Telstra 3G/NextG.
Has anyone looked at the cost difference of Mobile 3G vs VoIP over 3G etc

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Not sure what kind of VoIP system you have or service, but generally this can be solved with a group ring setting or it's also know as a follow-me feature, like that on google voice, where if someone calls that number, and you have it setup to dial your home and your mobile simultaneously. Either phone can pick up. And if you have a phone that supports the google voice application, you can make calls through it from your mobile via voip...

I use a pbx called 3CX, its a free software but you will need a sip gateway to interface the voice calls. I have it setup to call my mobile and office phone. I can pick up the phone from either. With this sip app posted in this thread, I can now make calls from my phone, through my pbx via VoIP over 3G. 3cx also has apps for iOS and Android and I believe calls can be made over your Wi-fi signal.

I hope this sorta, maybe answers your question and gives you an idea what you might be needing to do?
