If you're running the leaked EF02 gingerbread, it's a real potential problem. Happened to me Monday night and quite a few others on XDA EF02 thread. You need to get the update to EF10 somehow or flash back to EC05. See my thread on the issue.
If you are on stock and unrooted (probably unlikely, given your stats), I don't know what the issue would be. But it sounds modem related and Sprint tech support could help.
