Re: Have to share with the community / current opinion of the Arrive

It's still too early for WP7 for me. It'd be nice if the hardware and OS came out on par with the competition. Making people wait for updates so the phone can do what other phones available right now can doesn't help the cause. It has its work cut out for it. Lack of flash support is an issue as well, but it supports future technologies so maybe it'll be a contender in the future when there isn't so much flash-heavy sites, and wide use of flash for streaming video. I'd like to see it take a chunk out of Android and be some major competition, but it just isn't for now. Only geeks, in the minority, are really looking at it in detail. Most people run out and buy Android if they're not an Applehead since most phones are Android, and seem to have more potential with an average consumer having higher hardware, especially with the growing popularity of being able to video chat.

I wonder how Windows 8 will fair, forward-looking as well. It's good to see the Arrive successfully powering WP7 in its current state and showing what it can do. I look forward to seeing more about it after the long-anticipated update, and the growing marketplace.
