In case people don't know what it does, it does three things and it does them very well:
1. It allows press and hold the left softkey to bring up the Start menu. This frees up the Windows key to be assigned to something else.
2. Press and hold the right softkey to close the current app (also works on windows with the ok button). Note I did say close. It does not minimize apps like the hardware OK button does--it actually closes them. This frees up the OK button to be assigned to something else, or you can keep it as-is to minimize apps, using press and hold of the right softkey to close them.
3. It changes the behavior of the volume slider in PIE to scroll by page. This allows you to keep the dpad for scrolling by links and use the slider for page up/page down.
It's small and unobtrusive... the best kind of app. I believe the latest version is 0.56 which I have attached.

Thanks for the latest version...i have been using .52 for the longest because i thought there would not be any future updates. The .56 version fixes a PITA issue that affects Tom Tom (my fav navi app). Now i don't have to sacrifice the dpad funtionality in Tom Tom anymore!
For those who don't know, when you used smartskey in the past, it would change the dpad function in tom tom so that if you try to scan a map, it would adjust the volume. Not the worst thing that could possibly happen, but it was a minor annoyance. This has been reportedly fixed in the latest version.
Edit: Tom Tom issue is NOT fixed, but i can't really afford to lose smartskey so i will continue to deal with the minor annoyance
