Old hardware can have slowness but new hardware is no issue..heck even the Epic does WPA2 when you use infrastructure tethering..aka if my cellphone can do it its time to throw out any device that cant >.> lol

WPA2 is secure enough...if your really parranoid thats where access list comes in to add an extra layer of security...

but I call it this:

WEP: general public deterrent
WPA2: hacker with a life deterrent
WPA2+access list: paranoid deterant

hacking is a risk/reward thing..no one is going to spend the effort to hack someones home WPA2 network unless they felt like there was a reward worthy of hacking it...which 99.999% of the time isnt worth the effort..

There is also WPA2 256bit..if your crazy enough..
