I'm running a Cookie 2.0 ROM from late April (27th?) and it's been doing something no previous Energy ROM has ever done.

When I either send a message or open an existing message thread, the phone becomes unresponsive for about 5 - 10 seconds. Once it comes back to life, it completely closes the messaging application. So what this ends up doing is every time I want to swtich between people in texting, I have to wait and close/reopen messaging each time. Also please note I'm using the threaded texting setup.

Anybody else have that happen, and more importantly, find a way around it?

This phone is getting replaced in about a month once my Verizon anniversary comes around, but it would be really nice to get this fixed. I'm trying to avoid reflashing the phone again.
