Bang, it's re-flashing now with EC05 though odin.

how ever the phone still hangs on boot up and I can't get into recovery mode.
I'm hoping that this at least means all my data is completely gone from the device.
There is the hard reset button on the back...it was in another post...

lol..I am suprised they even found a moment to loan you...probably the guy gave you his own old phone lol...

Realistically I think all they do is hard reset..they dont reflash the entire phone and delete everything...I got a refurb and I can still see data/phone call usage stats...I bet ya if I run my flash recovery on it I can restore the guy who owned the phones info easy...
