I have an odd thing happening now with new email notifications.


When a new email comes in, i get the sound...then it seems to keep playing that sound every minute or so till I check the messages that just came in. like its set to repeat the sound notice till I check it.


What setting and where is this controlled? I am not seeing any repeat option in the sense notifications page.

Never mind. Found that in the windows sounds and notifications, repeat was set on the new email. had to find the right registry key under hkcu/control panel/notifications.....and update the options from 49 to 1.

here is the registry key for new email alerts:
\hkcu\controlpanel\notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
Then change Options to 0 for no notification sound or 1 for sound. seems 49 is setting for repeat to be turned on.
