what are the advantages of the genocide rom over the twilight?

Yes journaling is a must..unless you really know how to take care of it..I had journaling off for 2 months with no issues..until I was in a hurry and did the 4 button reset rather then regular shutdown then boom it hard reset itself due to data corruption lol...
Gingerbread is android 2.3, Froyo is 2.2..with 2.2 we have more customizations as we have source code and more development has been doen to tweak it...2.3 is the bleeding edge which offers new stuff at the price of "some" stability and development..depending on your usage...
Genocide kernel is not a rom, its a kernel..in winmo we had kernels built into the roms, but in android we can flash them separately if we choose to..overall I jsut found Genocide more stable, has more new features(due to the kernel being newer), and it allows for under-clocking.
