You do understand, without GPL compliance your precious kernels would not exist right?

I am not familiar with Ziggy's work, however I hear it is very good. I am familiar with the development community and how the GPL works. I am not accusing him of anything, other than being in non compliance, but consider the only two possible reasons for non compliance.

Only reason for someone or a company not to release their source code is to stifle community development, or hide something shady/illicit. To allow for code clean up is the same excuse HTC gave me in the past, it does not make sense and is not a valid reason.

With the kernel being the core of the system, a person could be doing anything from it. "Key logging", sniffing traffic, making a phone botnet who knows. Fact is GPL compliance helps use avoid this, but show there is nothing to hide.

The other option, is he is stifling development on this platform, for whatever his reasons are.

So either he is hiding something, or purposely stifling the community development on this device.

Pick one
