I have found that the corporate store reps are pretty tight lipped on the Trophy, even when you show them the guide in their own store showing "HTC Trophy coming soon." I've showed the guide in 4 different corporate stores over the last 2 weeks and gotten the "we have no idea when it will be released" line.
In the non-corporate stores, when I've shown them the same guide, they have gone to their computers and looked up a release date. One store told me May 12th and another store told me May 16. The May 16 date makes no sense since Verizon releases seem to be on Thursdays unless this particular store just does not get the phone on the 1st day of release. I'm hoping for an official announcement tomorrow so I can finally get a new phone this week.
