Im fairly new to PPC's too. I got my first one a few weeks ago (t-mobile TP2).

After more than 50 hrs of searching I have managed to speed up my device quite a bit!

I am using:
Simplicity Rom
OCT 1.5 @729mhz 0 step 0 interval
No sense

U can find instructions for installing your 1st custom rom... I was nervous too.
