I have XP sp3 desktop.
I use the lg tool to start the "Update" process. NO LONGER WORKS
1. Turn off the LG Fathom VS750
2. Press “5″
3. Press “Power button” while “pressing 5 ” keystrokes.
4. Check the front LED is green and the screen displays “Emergency download.”
MUCH THANKS to Mauricio
I start the KS500-Utils-EN.exe.
Point to the .cab file, and shazanm...
Somewhere there is the instructions with links.
Here is what I use:
Verizon LG Fathom VS750 Firmware V07 Download - LG Cell Phones Blog
If you can't find the v5.cab file then wait a little while for it to upload to my 4shared.
4shared - LG Fathom - shared folder - free file sharing and storage
This guy has win7 x64. I cant verify that.
Not sure of the links either

Mauricio on 9 July, 2011 at 8:56 pm # How to enter into LG Fathom VS750 Emergency Download Mode Steps:
1.Turn off the LG Fathom VS750
2. Press “5″
3.Press “Power button” while “pressing 5 ” keystrokes.
4.Check the front LED is green and the screen displays “Emergency download.”
You can now connect your phone using the USB cable and use fashing tools to fix your LG Fathom VS750
Caution: Remember to backup your files before flashing. This will erase all of your personal data. LG-Fathom info.
And guess what, this actually works...
Just try it and see. If you want to abort the download, just tap the reset button...
Who ever wrote that bit about "pull the battery, then press a few buttons---- HOLD IT RIGHT THERE ---
What is going to happen with battery out of the unit?
You could press the Davinci Code and nothing will happen without power...
Unless you posses the "Glowing One Perk".
Pluging the power cord into a unit without the battery only prompts you to "Insert a Battery"
So, MUCH THANKS to Mauricio.
I have been searching for this code for some time now, but for some reason it finally apeared.
Now if only some developers would find it in their hearts to help us root this baby, "Oh Happy DAY".
