I think he said that he installed MSVC build 1.6.28008 and I wondered if he had a single cab for that install.
I found the following procedure seems to work albeit, seems to take almost double the install space. First install build 1.6.21040 but don't use it! I just installed it and then soft reset the phone. I then installed the 28008 patch and it seems to work.
