Am I over killing the process? Is there a better way?
I thought I saw someone talk about doing a partial Nand restore. I have never restored from a Nand, never had too, so I don't know what a restore looks like.
Can I restore my settings?
Is it necessary that I wipe everything? I will know soon. Between RC9 and RC10 I only wiped the Dalvik VM cache.
Okay, I am booted up and everyhting is there and works. So, what is the rule here?
I don't know about if you need to fully wipe or not, but I do know about the nand restore. There is no partial nand restore that I know if. You restore from nand and it does its thing from there. And when it restores, it takes your phone to the exact state when you backed it up. The ROM and all the apps are exactly the way they were when you made the backup.
