So after poking around I found a way to make the settings better for me, an aging guy who's starting to need reading glasses.
Got the info from mostly this post over on XDA and made a cab file to fix it that I load into my XDA UC directory after a fresh flash.
It really only changes 4 settings in the HKLM>System>GWE>Menu> registry setting. I changed the padding "height" to 900 and the font "weight" to 700 in both the BarFnt and PopFnt keys.
Now I can finally see the Select Messages menu option from the SMS and email apps!

Good stuff.Maybe I'll make these changes in the kitchen from now on.

Thanks for the heads up t-bob.
Just reflashed with this "release" April.8 version...
BT hangup works for me, as per the test April.8 ROM from the other day. Will continue to try it out on calls today.
So this release will make some people happy and some not so...
a. should have the Sprint MR1 BT stack and CDMA dialer, which appears to "potentially" fix the BT hangup issue and various dialer items. Need more folks to confirm the hangup item.
b. those use to the Leo dialer with the contact pictures can install Monfro's dialer cab post flash, which will likely break the BT hangup fix... so pick your poison.
@NRGZ: dialer issues so far:
1. keypad icon off center (port or landscape mode), I think a few others mentioned this previously
2. when selecting "All People" (contacts) in the dialer (port or landscape mode), then selecting "Back", you are returned to Sense Home, not back to the dialer.

Yeah I noticed that as well... to be honest, I would prefer it that way. Why would u want to come back to the dialer anyway ? I think that once you're in Contacts you'd want to call somebody right ?

I have the problem that in most of my calls the other person can't hear me.
It is not a physical problem with the microphone because when I boot Android it works fine. Somehow it has gone to mute, even though it doesn't show it.
I wish I knew how to fix this...

Had this problem last year with the GSM rhodium.... Let's see if anybody else reports this. If they do, it must be a problem with the new Sprint Dialer. If not.. are u installing any cabs ? Try the ROM without anything customized or installed by you.
