Re: My complaints of the Shift after a week (any input is appreciated!)
Yeah I know it's dumb, but I love having push everything- and I want the best of both worlds! Think I may buy that extra battery ^ and keep the stock one on me...

I haven't really seen too much about overclocking the shift (haven't really looked that much either). What program are you using, and what cons have you noticed?
ppcgeeks is a great site, but there's more Android stuff over at xda-developers. I still use both sites to keep in the loop.

Setcpu is a $3 paid app for overclocking, it can also underclock while idle to save battery. You must be root and have an overclock kernel loaded. Use the one posted above and don't get too greedy, 1.5ghz is plenty fast. Some custom roms alrdy have an OC kernel. Been OC'd for months and other than my phone running too fast and smooth, I don't notice any negatives running at 1.5ghz at the On Demand setting with Setcpu app. Battery life is same if not better than stock. The thing with the OC kernel is it also Undervolts to save juice.

Overclock widget is a free app, but I like Setcpu better. If you search XDA you can find Setcpu for free.
