use the ##786# command after you flash a stock rom from
www.shipped-roms.com...you need to make sure that the ESN that it displays matches the one on the sticker underneath the battery.
It is common for people to "repair" a sprint ESN with a boost/cricket ESN...
The hands free activation will not work if the ESN has been repaired to another number. If you try to provide sprint with the "repaired" ESN number, it probably will not work, because that number is likely a boost/cricket number, that is not even from an EVO.
I am sure you can find the steps that were used to "repair" the ESN by whoever did it, you can follow those steps, but "repair' the actual ESN number... In this case I suppose it would be a true ESN repair?
