I've looked around on the forums and can only find one reference to this problem:

2) Sometimes after awhile, the XT9 suggested words bar will stop clearing the buffer and so the words will just start overwriting each other. Soft reset fixes it no problem.

Is anyone else getting this problem? My XT9 works perfectly most of the time, but then every couple of days the predictive function will become all garbled. i can read the "primary" word option, but everything else on the predition line is a garbled mess. With every word the garbled mess looks slightly different, with diferent combinations of black lines/shapes and white space. There is no intermediary where I can sort of see the words, it just goes all of a sudden. I can still pick different word options if I remember where they occur on the line, but there is no way to read it.

Things I have tried to fix the issue that don't work:
- Switching out of XT9 and back in, changing keyboards, closing messaging and re-opening etc.

The only thing that fixes the problem is to do a reset on the phone which is often inconvenient. Has anyone else reported this or found a solution?
