Eric, what significance does how much you're paying a month have to do with anything here? If I were in the op's shoe's, I'd too want to be sure of my decision to cough up an extra $240 a year(regardless of how much cheaper it is than others). Why hate on others for having a great plan/deal?

Op, if I were you I'd take the phone to a sprint store if your having problems with the screen. More than likely they'll order you a another one(refurb) for free. Then you can make the choice whether or not to upgrade..at least this way you'll have a working backup just in case
