way overthought..
im trying 2 stay out of day 2 day Qs at this point...

do this: settings, connections, usb 2 PC, ck bottom (inet sharing), ck box below it, ask every time (or not if u dont use active sync or disk drive..), i use it every day NEVER go into comm mgr

easy button: plug in usb, wait 2 sec., ck done, be happy u r on tether...
(if u unck the "ck every time" box, all u have to do is plug in cord)

if u r an unlucky one that has 2 disconnect data first.., A. update ROM or B. set a data toggle switch quick link on ur main menu, built into cookie, IPT, SPB... etc..

press quicklink, plug in usb, done
