Yeah, that's why I said just grab a random androidupdate.tgz (like ACL's) and apply it. Here's the linkage you are looking for:
Android System:

Edit: I will be making changes to the first page once I get some more testing under my belt on this. Stinebd seems very interested in making a larger busybox, and I'm testing to see how much crap I can pack into initrd.gz and have it still boot
