The way I understand it, the cpu in our TP2 is shipped clocked at 528mhz to ensure maximum stability and longevity. The thing is, some cpus can be clocked much faster and still run stable and still last a long time. When you overclock you are changing the frequency not changing the voltage so you shouldn't be using any more battery. The main thing that will be affected is stability but you will find out very quickly how high you can OC and still retain stability.

Yes, the voltage stays the same but my mind thinks that the current would go up a little as more instructions are being processed and I would think more instructions would increase the current. But it may be that it is so slight that it is not noticed, or that I am simply totally wrong.
Yeah, I should get off my duff and OC it. Which one do you recommend?
I was so bored yesterday that I put CHT2 on and then tried V3 of the win7 waves theme, but backed that off. Sitting with CHT2 at the moment - that's what I like about this tp2 - so easy to play!!!
Thanks.
