EDIT: After thinking about it a bit more, I turned gps on, fired up Maps, and then powered down. The light went insta-green. I then woke the phone back up and the GPS icon was still on. We've never had full sleep with GPS enabled, so either this kernel is leaps and bounds ahead of previous kernels, or the green light is not accurate.

Now let's test the stability...
Off topic... arrrghhh, what are you using for browsing. The builtin one is painfully sluggish. I'm using Opera Mini but it has its problems (mainly because it caches stuff on an offsite server and full javascript support isn't there). Skyfire has a lot of features (like flash support) but is sluggish. For the meantime, I'm using Opera Mini because it loads fast.

On topic - I don't think he's cheating... but I think he did change the way the sleep/green LED is reported to us now. He's reporting the ARM11 collapse. I think previously it was waiting for everything to collapse. So in a sense he's cheating since the LED now reports sleep differently, but from what I have gleaned it is accurately reporting ARM11 collapse... I'm by no means an expert on this topic however.
Edit - One sure-fire way to see if he is telling the truth, extended battery tests! So let's see how long the battery lasts, it'll be pretty dramatic drain if he is cheating...
Off topic - I haven't really played much with browsers TBH, but I've heard good things about fennec... Just haven't played with it yet, so I'm not really a good person to ask here
