Just a safe measure... i have seen (but completely believe) threads thats suggest that sprint can tell the phone has been rooted after being unrooted. I would just do it, as a precaution. it is not required, but would not hurt.

I also know that some sprint repair techs make their own rules, such as the Palmdale, Ca repair center where a scratch on the battery door equates to an invalidated warranty.
