i convert all my mp3 files to .wma, these files are smaller in size and offer better sound quality than mp3s at a lower bitrate an mp3 reaches CD quality at 192k with a sample rate of 44khz whereas wma reaches CD quality at 64k with a sample rate of 44khz. wma also supports higher sample rates than mp3 and more audio channels. in addition when using wma wmp takes up less ram and processor power than mp3 which also saves battery.
