We have changed how it works on the server. The display name will not be updated to that of Google Talk.

Yeah, I realize that now, because my MSN account has never seen my real name, so I figured that it must be taking it from my google account. I for one would prefer to be able to set the status independent of my google account, especially considering I don't know anyone that uses gtalk  so i'm only using it for aim/msn.
