I hard reset, then ran "clean-up" cab. (Yes, I used the correct cab, sprint_tp2_cleanup) I would end up having to pull the battery to shut it down. Then, to make matters worse, I tried putting a code to unlock it in the security settings. Then, I couldn't unlock it using any method. I had to do another hard reset to get that out of there.
If I don't hear an answer, I will probably use my SPB backup and live with it as it comes. Though I lurk here a lot, and I have learned a lot from you people, I feel like a noob.
