The screen turning off while on a phone call is what ALL touch screen phones do. TP2 fortunately has a proximity sensor and g-sensor, which usually keeps the screen ON while on BT and not on your ear, however, I would rather the screen turn off while on calls to prevent my ear from launching programs while talking.
If you are on a call and the screen goes blank---push the power button to activate the screen and continue multi-tasking.
