On the carrier thing and a little off topic, the hd2 got 2 official updates within a year.
Well thats not too bad for a winmo phone..but then again T-mobile was also first one to upgrade their SGS to froyo..so I am not surprised :/..when was the last update?

Well realistically even the Epic had like 4-5 updates..what we want is "upgrades" aka to froyo >.> lol...but Evo is treated better by sprint in general since its their "june phone"

True, I think 2 also. Just saying that the carriers can only block 1 per yr w/wp7...it's supposed to be a system push.
As I said carriers can choose not to push any update..I dont exactly see a carrier stopping updates in short term unless they feel it will effect their network/profits or etc...but in long term its possible some may choose to block updates to force ya to buy a new device..want me to get you the source?
