So I'd like to keep Slick running in the background but no matter what it terminates. Normally I wouldn't mind but if i'm signed off I don't receive IM's. Ideally I would like a client like OZ messenger that uses SMS to keep things alive but you can't have everything.

I'm running Nexvision's Hybrid Rom for the Mogul and the only thing I can think of is the HTC Task manager. I added it as an exclusion but it somehow still closes out when the phone sleeps.

I'm also running Seven and that seems to stay alive some how. Is WM6.1 really this aggresive with closing background apps or am I missing something?
