I agree with you, its not the next best thing out there, but it is something new and I think other carriers and manufactures can build upon this concept. Some people will like/love the device and will be happy with it where others may not. Its just a phone and a new concept is all and Sprint can say they were the first to have it.
Remember the MWC is around the corner and still in this Quater so I would not worry too much about it. Everyone knows the HTC Pro 7 is around the corner and then we have the CTIA in March as well. We all know Sprint will get the iPhone as well since you can see Sprint took at the iPhone bashing in there commercials and also now Dan Hesse has no comment if Sprint will get the iPhone.
Sprint stil has one of the best phones on the market today and that's the Evo. You can't always bat a homerun, sometimes you have to play it safe and get on base.
