Get a new phone. Our phones don't support OpenGLES2.0, plus the processor is ARMV6 - which is also old news. I think you already knew that our phones were old news tho...

Devs are working to get better framerates, but I'm not sure how much farther they can push it. I know they feel that bug that capped the evo at 30fps is effecting our phones, so if they can crack that nutshell perhaps we'll get another jump in performance. Not sure if there's much more to do as far as graphics go - look at older Android phones with similar specs, they'll probably play games just about as well - or as poorly. G1 for example.
