Is your SIM slot unlocked? Otherwise you'll have to go directly thru Sprint as demonlordoftheround said. The only other way to use a SIM in the device is to unlock the SIM slot - similar to HSPL, as I understand it, but I've never done it.

Does the SIM slot work in WinMo...? If it doesn't, then you definitely haven't unlocked it. If you're just having issues in Android, then force_cdma=0 for GSM. Sorry about the mis-information earlier...

Sorry, my previous post was wrong, force_cdma=0 for GSM mode... I shouldn't post late at night like that . You can also remove the value like previously mentioned, the default is 0.
