WinMo did not make your phone... If there are hardware issues... You may have a beef with HTC. If you have a software issue... It too may be due to HTC as they put sense on top of WinMo.
I suggest you read up on how to do a hard reset here on this site... Do it yourself and run WinMo only before you pass judgement on the OS. Secondly... I don't know where you got your phone but you got taken hermano... 500??? It was 400 out the door with a 100 dollar rebate on day one of release. That's what I was charged... Then I got an extra 100 dollars off when Verizon got their version for 300 out the door with a 100 dollar rebate. The hard reset process is very easy and any one of us would be happy to help you if you would just ask. I'm sure.
