Android is not like WinMo. Apps you get from the Market are installed into the device memory. Apps that can be moved to the card have to be coded to do so by the developer. Any apps that you download to the device from outside sources are downloaded to the card and then you have to install them to the device memory and then move it to the card if the app is coded for moving to the card.
You can move apps to the card in Froyo 2.2 as Boredand tatooed suggested, or you can get Apps2SD by Sam Lu for non root users from the Market and move them to the card with it.
Typically, if you move an app to the card that has a default set, such as a 3rd party browser, you will have to reset the default after a device reboot.....
