i'm on a shared plan right now, about to get my own line next month. my advice is call them, tell them your thinking of leaving your carrier, and what can they offer you to switch. you'd be pleasantly surprised as t-mobile is trying to win customers, not lose them like sprint. also, as i've told some people who's asked before, go to your local t-mo store and check the signals of the phones on display...it gives you an idea of the signal. plus you have a choice of going no contract, you pay full retail for phones but cheaper every month (i think like $20), or contract. i'm rocking the hd7 with the hd2 on wifi, my speeds here in florida are 18-21 mbps, but i've been hitting 27-28 mbps lately
