SetCPU has something called profiles. These can be used to set things to work however you want given a predetermined scenario. So lets say that when my screen is off I don't need my "fone" overclocked. What I would do is set setcpu to underclock to 245 mhz and, wait for it, it would save battery life!! I can tell setcput to underclock to 745 mhz max when battery is under 20%. Now, it has been tested many times, an Evo running 745 to do normal tasks will not be laggy. You will notice lag when you are running games or apps, but if you are just making calls and texting, 745 works great. The Evo runs at 745 max when screen is on until it dies much later than it would have with the normal values.
